Hallo zusammen,
unser astronews-User Sky Darmos hat im Thread "Anziehung - Abstoßung" im Beitrag #28 sein Buch "Quantum Gravity and the role of Consciousness in Physics: Resolving the contradictions between quantum theory..." vorgestellt.
Zu "Similar-worlds theory and consciousness"
Entropie(t) - Entropie(t-epsilon) = Entropie(t+epsilon) - Entropie(t)
Freundliche Grüsse, Ralf

Quantum Gravity and the role of Consciousness in Physics: Resolving the contradictions between quantum theory schrieb:This book is going to introduce a physical theory to the reader, which tries to include quantum mechanics, relativity and consciousness in one single picture.
Quantum Gravity and the role of Consciousness in Physics: Resolving the contradictions between quantum theory schrieb:In Einstein´s theory of relativity, time is a dimension, so that everything what happened and everything what is going to happen is already there, as an unchangeable entity.
Quantum Gravity and the role of Consciousness in Physics: Resolving the contradictions between quantum theory schrieb:A completely computable and deterministic world view. In contradiction to that, according to quantum mechanics, the future can only be calculated statistically, on the base of probabilities. Both theories give very precise predictions in their territories respectively.
Die Wortwahl "big things" ist nicht sehr wissenschaftlich; zudem würde ich noch folgendes ergänzen: … and black holes, i.e. the macrocosm.Quantum Gravity and the role of Consciousness in Physics: Resolving the contradictions between quantum theory schrieb:QT is used describing the behavior of particles in the microcosm, while GR (general relativity) is used for big things, like planets, galaxies and black holes.
Zu "Similar-worlds theory and consciousness"
Quantum Gravity and the role of Consciousness in Physics: Resolving the contradictions between quantum theory schrieb:Let´s take a closer look at QT first.

Quantum Gravity and the role of Consciousness in Physics: Resolving the contradictions between quantum theory schrieb:On page 10 I came up with the hypothesis, that:
“The expansion of the universe is exactly proportional to its entropy.
An acceleration of the expansion is due to a fast increase of entropy such as it occurs when black holes are formed (they have a maximum of entropy).”
I want to reformulate this into a new, fourth law of thermodynamics:
Every increase in entropy is accompanied by a growth of space itself.
Because of the second law of thermodynamics, entropy has to increase. In order to fulfil this new fourth law of thermodynamics, the universe has to expand. Since we know that entropy always grows, the universe will always grow.
This is not much different from a liquid which expands while time goes by and entropy increases. This exactly was the analogy I was using, when I came up with this idea.
Now when we go backwards in time, the entropy becomes less and less, and the universe´s density higher and higher. The minimum entropy is reached when we reach the big bang, the beginning of time.
Quantum Gravity and the role of Consciousness in Physics: Resolving the contradictions between quantum theory schrieb:People think that states of low entropy are very rare and special.
Quantum Gravity and the role of Consciousness in Physics: Resolving the contradictions between quantum theory schrieb:That they are very unlikely. If we are talking about the future, that is doubtless true.
Siehe meinen obigen Einwand bezüglich abgeschlossener Systeme. Das Wort "exactly" ist übrigens vermutlich auch nicht richtig: ich vermute, dass im Allgemeinen nicht gilt, dass für jeden Zeitpunkt t gilt:Quantum Gravity and the role of Consciousness in Physics: Resolving the contradictions between quantum theory schrieb:But if it comes to the past, it is exactly opposite. It is almost impossible that a past state had a bigger entropy than a present state.
Entropie(t) - Entropie(t-epsilon) = Entropie(t+epsilon) - Entropie(t)
Quantum Gravity and the role of Consciousness in Physics: Resolving the contradictions between quantum theory schrieb:A low entropy in the past and a high entropy in the future is a necessary condition for the existence of time! Therefore we don´t need to try to explain why the big bang had a low entropy.
Or in other words: We don´t need inflation theory.
Quantum Gravity and the role of Consciousness in Physics: Resolving the contradictions between quantum theory schrieb:The entropy of black holes is the biggest. Now, can we use the formation of black holes to explain the accelerating expansion of the universe?
The first stars appeared 200 million years after the big bang. Short living big stars burn out after only 10.000 years. Smaller stars like our sun can burn for up to ten billion years. Now when did the acceleration of the expansion started? 8 billion years after the big bang.
Quantum Gravity and the role of Consciousness in Physics: Resolving the contradictions between quantum theory schrieb:It is yet to be proven that the increase in entropy started accelerating 8 billion years after the big bang.
If my constant entropy per volume proposal is correct, then the universes whole expansion process could be predicted from its entropy.
