In our system, the speed of light v would correspond to the case when a pulse distribution moves to the left (or right) side in every step m. In the PT system, after m = 800 steps, the maximum of the Gaussian shape has moved considerably faster than v, enabled by a gain-assisted growth of one of the distribution’s tails.
